DECLARATION
Federal Ministry of Finance
of 12 April 1988
on the issue of commemorative silver hundred crowns for the 100th anniversary of Martin Benka's birth
The Federal Ministry of Finance declares pursuant to § 3 (2) of Act No. 41 / 1953 Coll., on monetary reform, and pursuant to § 2 (2) of Government Decree No. 35 / 1954 Coll., on commemorative coins:
(1) On the 100th anniversary of the birth of the painter Martin Benka, commemorative silver hundred crowns (hereinafter referred to as "hundred crowns") are issued.
(2) Hunting from an alloy of 500 pieces of silver, 400 parts of copper, 50 parts of nickel and 50 parts of zinc. The weight of the stocron is 13 g. In the case of stamping, a tolerance up and down of 10 / 1000 and a silver content of 5 / 1000 is permitted. The diameter is 31 mm, the edge is serrated.
(1) On the face of the hundred crown is the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and around it in an unclosed copy the name of the state "CZECHOSLOVAK SOCIALISTIC REPUBLIC" and the stylized moss with a bird. The value designation "100 Ccs' is in the line under the national character.
(2) On the back of the Stokron, a woman in the Slovak costume releasing the dove of peace and trampling arms is displayed in front of the peaks of the mountain shields. On the left in the copy is the name "MARTIN BENKA," on the right in the copy are the years "1888-1988."
(3) The author of the hundred crown design is the national artist Ján Kulich. The initials of his name "J.K." are placed on the back of the lower right.
This Decree shall take effect on 1 June 1988.
