amending Act No. 236 / 1995 Coll., on the salary and other formalities relating to the performance of the duties of representatives of the State Government and of certain State institutions and judges and Members of the European Parliament, as amended
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:

1. Paragraph 3 (3), including footnote 1, reads as follows:
"(3) The salary base shall be 2.5 times between 1 January and 31 December of the calendar year and 3 times the average gross monthly nominal wage for the number of employees in the national economy recorded according to the published data of the Czech Statistical Office for the preceding calendar year. The level of the salary base for the relevant calendar year is announced by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in the Collection of Laws and International Treaties (1).

2.
(1) From 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2021, the salary base is CZK 84 060 and CZK 100 872 for judges.
(2) Where the salary base established for the calendar year 2022 in accordance with the procedure laid down in Article 3 (3) does not reach at least the salary base referred to in paragraph 1, the salary base referred to in paragraph 1 shall apply. Similarly, a salary base shall be established for each subsequent calendar year, until the salary base established in accordance with the procedure laid down in paragraph 3 (3) reaches at least the salary base referred to in paragraph 1. ';
Efficacy
This Act shall take effect on 1 January 2021.
