DECLARATION
of 15 December 2006
on the reimbursement of costs incurred in carrying out veterinary checks on animals for slaughter and meat, the examination and assessment of animal products and the monitoring of the presence of certain substances and residues thereof in and in animals
The Ministry of Agriculture provides pursuant to Section 78 of Act No. 166 / 1999 Coll., on Veterinary Care and on the amendment of certain related laws (Veterinary Act), as amended by Act No. 131 / 2003 Coll., Act No. 316 / 2004 Coll. and Act No. 48 / 2006 Coll., ("the Act ') for the implementation of Section 75 (3) of the Act:
REFUNDS ON COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE EXECUTION OF VETERINARY INSTRUMENTS OF AQUATIC ANIMALS AND MEAT, EXAMINATION AND SUPPORT OF ANIMAL PRODUCTS AND THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PRESENTATION OF CERTAIN SUBSTANCES AND THEIR RESIDENTS IN ANIMALS AND THEIR PRODUCTS
This decree (1) regulates, following the directly applicable regulation of the European Communities (2), the amount of compensation for the costs of carrying out veterinary inspection of animals for slaughter and meat, the examination and assessment of animal products and the monitoring of the presence of certain substances and residues thereof in and in animals.
(1) The reimbursement of the costs associated with the veterinary inspection of animals for slaughter and meat, the examination and assessment of animal products and the monitoring of the presence of certain substances and residues thereof in and in animals shall be determined in accordance with Article 27 (4) (b) of Regulation (EC) No 882 / 2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 on official controls performed to ensure the verification of compliance with feed and food law, animal health and animal welfare rules at the level set out in Annex IV to Section B to this Regulation.
(2) The amounts of the refunds referred to in paragraph 1 shall be converted into Czech currency for the purposes of their payment at the European Central Bank's reference exchange rate published in the Official Journal by the European Commission for the relevant period.
(3) In the case of adult bovine animals of at least 24 months old slaughtered by necessary slaughter and adult bovine animals of at least 30 months old, the amount of the refund referred to in paragraph 1 shall be increased by CZK 750 per animal.
Decree No. 498 / 2005 Coll., amending Decree No. 374 / 2003 Coll., on the reimbursement of costs associated with the veterinary inspection of animals for slaughter and meat and the examination and assessment of animal products, shall be repealed.
Amendment to Decree No. 232 / 2005 Coll.
Part II of Decree No 232 / 2005 Coll., amending Decree No 291 / 2003 Coll., on the prohibition of the administration of certain substances to animals whose products are intended for human consumption and on the monitoring of the presence of unauthorised substances, residues and contaminants for which animal products could be harmful to human health, in animals and in their products, Decree No 374 / 2003 Coll., on the reimbursement of costs associated with the carrying out of veterinary inspection of animals for slaughter and meat, and on the examination and assessment of animal products, and Decree No 202 / 2003 Coll., on veterinary requirements for fresh meat, minced meat, meat preparations and meat products, as amended, shall be deleted.
EFFECTIVE
This Decree shall take effect on 1 January 2007.
