on the modification of personal benefits provided by spiritual churches and religious societies
The Government of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic hereby orders, pursuant to § 3 (2) of Act No. 218 / 1949 Coll., on economic security of churches and religious societies by the State:
Basic salary
(1) The basic salary of the spiritual churches and religious societies (hereinafter referred to as the "spiritual") is monthly at the time of the deductible period of spiritual activity:

(2) Scale And it applies to clerics with higher education for the pursuit of spiritual activity. Level B applies to clerics with a non-university education. Starting with level 4, the competent church or religious society (hereinafter referred to as the "Church") may waive the failure to complete higher education and apply the A scale.
(3) In order to assess the high quality of the exercise of spiritual activity, the church concerned may increase the basic salary set for the relevant grade by up to 20%.
(4) The calculation of the period of spiritual activity is determined by the Church. In determining the period of spiritual activity, the church concerned may also count the period prior to the exercise of spiritual activity to the extent that the knowledge and experience acquired are applicable to the exercise of that activity. Furthermore, the church concerned may count on the period during which it was a minister in the execution of a prison sentence because of his religious beliefs, or the period during which he was unable to perform a spiritual activity for that reason.
(5) The basic salary at the higher grade shall be payable to the clergyman as from the first day of the calendar month following the period of spiritual activity referred to in paragraph 1; if that date is the first day of the calendar month, the basic salary shall be paid at the higher grade from that date.
Rated addition
(1) It is for the spiritual to receive the value allowances according to their classification in the scales set out in the Annex to this Regulation. The worthy addition of clerics shall be not more than 800 CZK in scale I, not more than 1,200 CZK in scale II, not more than 1,800 CZK in scale III and not more than 2,800 CZK in scale IV per month.
(2) The rules for determining the amount of this allowance in each scale are laid down by the competent church.
Remuneration
The Church can provide spiritual rewards from its own resources. The rules for the award of remuneration and the amount thereof shall be laid down by the competent church.
Repeal
They shall be deleted:
1. the provisions of § 9 (2), § 11 (1) and (3) and § 12 (2) of Decree-Law No 219 / 1949 Coll., on economic security of the Roman Catholic Church,
2. the provisions of § 9 (2), § 11 (1) and (3) and § 12 (2) of Decree-Law No 220 / 1949 Coll., on Economic Security of the Church of the Czechoslovak State,
3. the provisions of Sections 9 (2), 11 (1) and (3) and 12 (2) of Decree-Law No 221 / 1949 Coll., on the economic security of evangelical churches by the State,
4. provisions of § 9 (2), § 11 (1) and (3) and § 12 (2) of Decree-Law No 222 / 1949 Coll., on economic security of the Church Orthodox by the State,
5. the provisions of Sections 9 (2), 11 (1) and (3) and 12 (2) of Decree-Law No 223 / 1949 Coll., on the economic security of religious societies by the State,
6th Decree of the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic No. 47 / 1981 Coll., on the modification of personal benefits provided by the Czechoslovak State to the spiritual churches and religious societies.
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 1991.
