on the remuneration of religious teachers
The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs provides, pursuant to Articles 123 (1) and 239b of the Labour Code, after consultation with the relevant trade unions:
Scope
This decree regulates the remuneration of workers who teach religion in employment to the Church or the religious society (1) (hereinafter referred to as "the Church ') or on the basis of agreements on work outside employment with the Church (hereinafter referred to as" the teacher of religion').
(1) The teacher of a religion who is engaged in this activity is entitled to a basic salary of between 2000 and 3000 CZK per month for a fixed week's working hours and 21 teaching hours per week. 2) The amount of basic salary within the margin shall be determined by the Church, taking into account the qualifications of the teacher of religion and his personal abilities.
(2) A teacher of religion who performs this activity on the basis of non-employment employment agreements shall be remunerated in the range of 20 to 35 CZK for one teaching hour corresponding to his teaching at primary and secondary schools. If a religion teacher is engaged in a teaching activity corresponding to his / her teaching at universities, the fee is 30 to 50 CZK per teaching hour. The amount of remuneration within the margin shall be agreed by the Church, taking into account the qualifications of the teacher of religion and his personal abilities.
The Church may, by its means, grant a teacher of religion a basic salary; the conditions for granting such remuneration and the amount thereof shall be determined by the competent church.
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
