THE LAW
of 11 June 1975
supplementing Act No. 35 / 1962 Coll., on Measuring Service
The Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic decided on this law:
Act No. 35 / 1962 Coll., on measure service, is amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 2, including the title, reads:
Types of legal measures
The legal measures are units of basic (§ 3) and units of other (§ 4). '
2. Article 3, including the title, reads:
Base units
(1) The basic units are:
(a) unit length meter (m);
(b) unit of mass kilogram (kg);
(c) the second (s) time unit;
(d) an amperage unit (A);
e. Thermodynamic temperature unit Kelvin (K);
(f) unit of the substance quantity of mol (mol),
(g) the candela intensity unit (cd).
(2) The definition of basic units and their multiples and components are laid down in the State technical standard. "
3.
Other units
The other units, their labelling and their definitions and their multiples and components shall be defined by the state technical standard. ';
4. In Paragraph 5 (2), the following sentence is added at the end:
"The use of non-legal measures in other cases may be authorised for a transitional period by a state technical standard. '

(1) The Office for Standardisation and Measurements (1) is the Federal Central Authority of State Administration for State Metering Service.
(2) The Office shall be managed and the President shall be responsible for its activities. The President shall be represented by the first deputy. If the President of the Office is a citizen of the Czech Socialist Republic, the first deputy is a citizen of the Slovak Socialist Republic and vice versa. The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic shall appoint the President of the Bureau of Standardisation and Measurement and its First Deputy. '
This Act shall take effect on 1 August 1975.

1) The relationship of the Office for Standardisation and Measurement, as defined in § 54 (1) of Act No. 133 / 1970 Coll., on the competence of federal ministries, is unchanged.
