CONSTRUCTION LAW
of 5 June 1969
amending certain provisions of the Constitution and Constitutional Law No. 81 / 1968 Coll.
The Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic decided on this constitutional law:
The Constitution, as amended by the later constitutional laws, is amended as follows:
Article 86 (1) shall read as follows:
"(1) National committees shall be bodies of state authority and administration within the districts designated by the laws of national councils. '
Article 91 shall read as follows:
"Within the limits of the constitutional laws of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, the degrees and types of national committees, as well as their status, competence and organisation, are governed by the laws of the National Councils."
Constitutional Law No. 81 / 1968 Coll., which temporarily regulates certain questions concerning the election of judges, is hereby amended as follows:
Article 1 (1) shall read as follows:
"(1) The judge entitled to sit in special chambers carrying out review procedures under the Law on Judicial Rehabilitation shall elect the Slovak National Council for the Supreme Court and for the higher military courts of the Federal Assembly, for the Regional Courts in the Czech Socialist Republic and for the Regional Courts in the Slovak Socialist Republic."
Article 2 shall read as follows:
"In the Czech Socialist Republic, the Czech National Council and the Slovak Socialist Republic, the Slovak National Council will elect or recall judges of the regional courts and judges of the district courts. The provisions on the election of judges of regional courts shall apply mutatis mutandis. ';
The Presidents and Deputy Ministers of the District Courts and Regional Courts establish and dismiss, on a proposal from the competent Minister of Justice in the Czech Socialist Republic, the Bureau of the Czech National Council, in the Slovak Socialist Republic, the Bureau of the Slovak National Council.
Until a constitutional law governing the organisation of courts and prosecutors pursuant to Article 145 of Constitutional Act No. 143 / 1968 Coll., on the Czechoslovak Federation, national councils may make the necessary changes in the offices and districts of the courts and state notaries by law.
(1) This Constitutional Law shall take effect on 1 July 1969.
(2) Paragraphs 2 and 3 will cease to apply on the date on which the Constitutional Law on Courts and Prosecutors takes effect pursuant to Article 145 of Constitutional Law No. 143 / 1968 Coll.
