on updating the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Associated Health Problems (MKN-10)
The Czech Statistical Office, pursuant to § 19 (2) of Act No. 89 / 1995 Coll., on the National Statistical Service, as amended, announces with effect from 1 January 2026 an update of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Associated Health Problems (MKN-10).
The Czech Statistical Office issued International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Associated Health Problems (MKN-10) by Communication No. 495 / 2003 Coll., on the Issue of International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Associated Health Problems (MKN-10). This classification was updated by Communication No 430 / 2008 Coll., Communication No 340 / 2011 Coll., Communication No 426 / 2012 Coll., Communication No 464 / 2017 Coll., Communication No 290 / 2019 Coll., Communication No 576 / 2020 Coll., Communication No 512 / 2021 Coll., Communication No 398 / 2022 Coll., Communication No 402 / 2023 Coll. and Communication No 398 / 2024 Coll.
The subject of the update is the addition of codes to identify the detailed value of Body Mass Index (BMI), codes for the size of the hernia, location and extent of endometriosis and administrative code Acute state addressed by a psychiatrist on the advice of a general practitioner or outpatient specialist.
The current version of the updated International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Associated Health Problems (MKN-10) is available in electronic form on the website of the Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic https: / / www.uzis.cz / mkn.
