DECLARATION
Federal Ministry of Finance
of 12 April 1988
on the issue of commemorative silver 500 crowns for the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Slovak Matrix
The Federal Ministry of Finance declares pursuant to § 3 (2) of Act No. 41 / 1953 Coll., on monetary reform, and pursuant to § 2 (2) of Government Decree No. 35 / 1954 Coll., on commemorative coins:
(1) On the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Slovak Matrix, commemorative silver five hundred crowns (hereinafter referred to as "five hundred crowns") are issued.
(2) Five hundred crowns are rolled from an alloy containing 900 parts of silver and 100 parts of copper. The weight of the 500 crown is 24 g. In the case of stamping, a tolerance up and down of 10 / 1000 and a silver content of 5 / 1000 is permitted. The diameter is 40 mm. There's a sign on her edge that says, "OH MY HAIR"
(1) On the face of the 500 crown is the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic in the middle of the top and around it in an unclosed copy the name of the state "CZESKOSLOVAK SOCIALISTIC REPUBLIC." In the line under the national emblem is the designation of the value "500 Kcs." In the middle of the bottom are decorative initials "MS."
(2) On the back of a five-hundred crown there is a woman in Slovak costume with her arms raised; in the right hand holds flowers and a book, in the left lip branch. In the middle of the bottom is the inscription "MATICA SLOVAKIA." On the left in two rows are the years "1863" and "1988."
(3) The author of the proposal is the national artist Ján Kulich. His name "J. KULICH" is placed on the back of the left.
This Decree shall take effect on 1 May 1988.
