laying down transitional measures for the gradual replacement of the existing national emblem with a new emblem
The Government of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic orders pursuant to § 6 paragraph 2 of Act No. 115 / 1990 Coll., on the Use of State Symbols of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic ("the Act '):
§ 1
Persons, authorities and organisations referred to in § 1 (1) and (2) of the Act may use the national emblem used under Act No. 163 / 1960 Coll., on the State emblem and on the national flag (hereinafter referred to as the "national emblem ')
(a) on official stamps of rubber until 30 June 1991
(b) on official stamps of metal (seals) used on:
1. Lists in contact with abroad until 31.3.1991
2. Other instruments up to 30 June 1991
(c) on forms used for:
1. contact with abroad until 30 June 1991
2. internal contact until 31.12.1991
d) on official ID cards of public officials and staff of state bodies of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic until 30 June 1991
(e) on official legislative collections until 31.3.1991
(f) in buildings and meeting rooms
1. with architectural decoration, of which the national emblem is usually included before the general repair, no later than 31.12.2000, unless the competent authority decides otherwise)
2. in other cases until 31.12.1992
The series and honours awarded by the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic bearing the national emblem can be awarded until 31 December 1990.
§ 2
The competent central authorities of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic may issue personal ID cards, documents and certificates bearing the existing national emblem:
(a) ID cards until 31.3.1991
(b) travel documents until 30 June 1991
(c) residence permits until 30.6.1991
(d) service cards until 30 June 1991
(e) a certificate of election by a Member until 31.12.1990
(f) the certificate of election by the judge until 31.12.1990
(g) certificate of ministerial honours until 31.12.1990
(h) boat certificates and other maritime navigation documents until 31.12.1990
(ch) Certificate, indices and diplomas of universities until 31.12.1990
§ 3
At the borders of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, the existing national emblem may be used until 31 March 1991.
§ 4
The existing national emblem may be used until 31.3.1992 on the uniforms or parts thereof of the members or staff of the institutions and organisations referred to in § 1 (1) and (2) of the Act.
§ 5
(1) The issue of coins, securities and other prices of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic bearing the national emblem of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic must start no later than 31 December 1992.
(2) The issue of banknotes bearing the national emblem of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic must start no later than 31 December 1996.
§ 6
This Government Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
