DECLARATION
of 16 March 2018
on the issue of the Gold Coin "Castle of animal town" for 5 000 CZK
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll.:
(1) On 29 May 2018, the Gold Coin "Castle of Obstěkov" is issued as part of the "Castle" cycle for CZK 5,000 ("Coins").
(2) Coins are issued in the ordinary version and in a special version with a polished field of the coin and a matt relief (hereinafter referred to as the special version).
(3) Coins in normal and special design are made of gold of purity 999.9. The weight of the coin is 15,55 g, 28 mm diameter and 1.9 mm thickness. When the coin is embossed in both normal and special versions, the tolerance is 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,15 mm in thickness. In mass, the tolerance up to 0,062 g is allowed and in gold purity the tolerance up to 0,01%. The coin edge in the normal version is serrated, the coin edge in the special version is smooth.
(1) On the front of the coin is the upper part of the coin field of the composition of heraldic animals from a large state emblem in the shields. In the middle is a Czech lion, on the left is a Moravian eagle and on the right is a Silesian eagle. Under the composition of heraldic animals is depicted the fragment of the woodcarving altar of the mourning of Christ, located in the animal chapel of St. Wenceslas. On the left of the fragment is the name of the cycle "PLAYS" and the text "CZECH." The words are separated by a dot. To the right of the fragment is the text "REPUBLIC." In the lower part of the coin field is the denomination of the coin with the abbreviation "5 000 CZK." The brand of the Czech Mint, which consists of the composition of the letters "No" and "M", is placed under the denomination of the coin.
(2) On the reverse side of the coin is the upper part of the coin field composing two early gothic coated tiles with motif gryfa and hunting scene. Among the tiles is a shield with the motif of the swan, which was used by the masters of Švamberk. In the middle of the coin field there is a collage of 4 castle objects, from the left to the right are the Watchtower, the Sandy Gate, the Tower of Hloví and the Chapel of St. Wenceslas. On the left of the composition is the text "HRAD," the letters are separated by a dot. To the right of the composition is the text "ANIMAL." The year "2018" is placed under the Sandy Gate, its individual digits are separated by a dot. The initials of the author of the Luboš Charvat coin, which are composed of linked letters "L 'and" Ch', are located under the year of the stamping.
(3) The coin is shown in the annex to this decree.
This Decision shall enter into force on 29 May 2018.
