Government Regulation
of 19 October 1954
on the protected area of Prague Castle.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic orders pursuant to § 14 paragraph 1 of Act No. 2 / 1954 Coll., on the State Plan for the Development of the National Economy of the Czechoslovak Republic for 1954:
Prague Castle, the seat of the President of the Czechoslovak Republic and a significant historical monument, belongs to all Czechoslovak people. To ensure its proper administration and protection, a protected area of Prague Castle is created.
Objects of the protected area are administered by the office of the President of the Republic, who also performs all administration in the area of state conservation care.
The definition of the protected area will be implemented by the Board of the Central National Committee of the City of Prague in agreement with the office of the President of the Republic.
Compensation for objects in the protected area shall be determined by the Board of the Central National Committee of the City of Prague; may also decide not to grant such compensation.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication; The government will do it.
