Regulation on deserving artists

Government Regulation
of 3 June 1953
about deserving artists.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic orders pursuant to § 7 of Act No. 247 / 1949 Coll., on Honours and Honours:
§ 1.
The people's democratic state values artistic workers. In order to give their work an honest recognition, an honorary title "deserving artist" is introduced for particularly excellent and deserving artists.
§ 2.
The honorary title "deserving artist" is awarded by the government on a proposal from the competent central office to workers who have received special credit for their many years of outstanding work in any field of art.
§ 3.
(1) Artists to whom the Government has awarded the honorary title "deserving artist," will be given a certificate (diploma).
(2) The Charter (diploma) shall be handed over to the deserving artist by the head of the central office concerned.
§ 4.
The government may withdraw an honorary title to a deserving artist, if this honorary recognition becomes unworthy.
§ 5.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication; they shall be carried out by the Prime Minister and the Chairman of the State Committee on Arts.
