amending and supplementing the Law of 21 October 1936, No 268 Coll., on Regulations and Titles.
The Constitutional National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Republic decided on this law:
Čl. I.
Law No 268 / 1936 Coll. is amended as follows:
1.
"(1) The Government may, with the approval of the President of the Republic, establish a medal in the manner of orders and honorary badges for merit of the Czechoslovak State by means of regulations for both Czechoslovak citizens and foreigners, as well as for military and similar departments, for groups of persons and symbols representing groups of persons who have deserved it."

„§ 2.
Foreign orders, badges and titles can only be accepted by Czechoslovak citizens (Czechoslovak departments and groups of persons) if the President of the Republic so agrees on a proposal from the Government. "

„§ 3.
The government may, by order, set up commemorative badges and provide certain details of their granting. Memory badges shall not be worn on a ribbon; This does not apply to commemorative badges still based if the rules on their formation provide that the commemorative badges are to be worn on a ribbon. '
4. The following shall be inserted after Article 3 as Article 3a:
„§ 3a.
(1) It is inadmissible to base and lend honours in the manner of orders and badges other than under this law. It is also not permissible to establish and grant commemorative or other badges which could lead to confusion with orders or with honorary, commemorative or other badges under this Act or under the Law of 10 April 1920, No 243 Coll., amending the Act on the abolition of nobility, orders and titles.
(2) Honours in the manner of orders and badges, and commemorative and other badges, the establishment and granting of which is inadmissible pursuant to paragraph 1, shall be prohibited from being publicly carried. '
5. After Paragraph 7 (1) (3), at the end of which the dot is replaced by a semicolon, the following text is inserted as the next item:
"4. who, against the provisions of this Act, shall establish or lend honours in the manner of orders or honorary badges, or shall establish or grant a commemorative or other badge which could lead to confusion with orders, honorary, commemorative or other badges under this Act or under Act No. 243 / 1920 Coll., as well as those who publicly wear such honours, commemorations or other badges."
Čl. II.
The honours given before this Act is effective to military or similar departments, groups of persons or symbols representing groups of persons who have been deserving are seen as being lent for the effectiveness of this Act.
Čl. III.
(1) For further lending to the Order of the Slovak National Uprising and the Order for heroism at work and for the amendment or repeal of the regulations on these Regulations, the provisions of § 1, § 1 and § 2 of Act No. 268 / 1936 Coll. as amended by this Act apply.
(2) The decree of the President of the Republic of 12 October 1945, No 89 Coll., on honours for merit in the construction of the State and for outstanding work, will expire on the date on which the regulations issued pursuant to Act No. 268 / 1936 Coll. as amended by this Act on honours for merit in the construction of the State and for outstanding work.
Čl. IV.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication; it shall be carried out by all members of the Government.
