Government Regulation
of 10 July 1951
on territorial changes in the Karlovy Vary Region.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic orders, with the agreement of the President of the Republic pursuant to § 42 (1) of Act No. 241 / 1948 Coll., on the first five-year Economic Development Plan of the Czechoslovak Republic (Act on the Five-Year Plan), and pursuant to § 15 (1) of Decree of the President of the Republic No. 121 / 1945 Coll., on the Territorial Organisation of Administration, by National Committees:
(1) The district of Jáchymov is hereby repealed. The municipalities of this district are connected to the district of Karlovy Vary with the exception of the municipality of Kryštofov Hamry, which is connected to the district of Kadana.
(2) The municipalities of Bosluany, Dvory, Háje, Horní Slavkov, Kfely, Beauty, Refrigerator, Ležník, Nadlesí and Valley from the district of Sokolov and the municipality of Bečov nad Teplou, Hlinky, Beautiful, Milesov and Vodná from the district of Toužim join the district of Karlovy Vary.
(3) Following the hearing of the national committees concerned, the Ministry of the Interior may also add other municipalities or certain municipalities of the district to the neighbouring districts, if necessary in order to create conditions for the full use of economic possibilities in industrial production in the Karlovy Vary Region.
(1) This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 August 1951. However, the measures necessary for its implementation may be taken before that date.
(2) This Regulation shall be implemented by the Minister for the Interior in agreement with the participating members of the Government.
