GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 29 September 2004
defining The birds' area of the Žahunský pond - Pížíčky Obora
The Government orders pursuant to § 45e paragraphs 1 and 2 of Act No. 114 / 1992 Coll., on Nature and Landscape Conservation, as amended by Act No. 218 / 2004 Coll.:
§ 1
Subject matter
(1) The birds' area of the Žehuňský Pond - Obora Pížička (hereinafter referred to as the "bird area") is defined.
(2) The birds' area is protected by the populations of the leprechaun (Ixobroubus minutus) and the croptenate (Porzana porzana) and their biotopes.
(3) The purpose of the protection of the birds' area is to preserve and restore ecosystems relevant to birds' species as referred to in paragraph 2 on their natural grounds of enlargement and to ensure conditions for the conservation of the populations of those species in a favourable conservation situation.
§ 2
Definition of bird area
(1) The bird region is situated in the territory of the Central Bohemian and Králové Hradec Region, in the cadastral territories of Běrunice, Dlouhopolsko, Hradčany u Žehuně, Chotovice, Pížíčíčky, Končice, Hunčice u Nové Bydžov, Očecnice a Žehuně.
(2) The territorial demarcation and description of the border of the bird area are set out in Annex 1 to this Regulation; the indicative graphical representation of the bird area is given in Annex 2 to this Regulation.
(3) The 1: 10 000 map documents, in which the territory of the bird region is drawn, are stored in the central list of nature protection1) and in electronic form at the Ministry of the Environment, the Nature Protection Board, the Regional Authorities of the Central Bohemian and Králové Hradec Region and the municipal authorities of the municipalities with extended competence, in whose administrative district the bird area is located.
§ 3
Activities to which the consent of the nature protection authority is required
Only with the prior consent of the competent authority of nature protection (2) can the birds' area, outside the territory of the national nature reserve,
(a) fertilize ponds and permanent grassland with slurry;
(b) remove lithoral crops;
(c) to enter the lithoral crops of ponds between 1 April and 31 July, except for owners or tenants of land and for the care of released ducks;
(d) the establishment of non-commercial poultry farming;
(e) to release artificially reared ducks.
§ 4
Efficacy
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.

Territorial demarcation and description of the border The birds' areas Žemunská pond - Pížíčky obora
From the village of Žehun, the border of the birds' area leads north on the dam of Žehun Pond and further along the road *) No II / 328 to Stará Bani, from there along the field road * *) towards the west towards the village of Hradčany. After about 350 metres, the right angle is pushed north and along the edge of the forest leads directly to the southern border of PP Bán. The border of the natural monument leads west, north and east to the point where the PP border touches the southwest tip of the Mining Forest. It leads to the northeast along the edge of the road I / 11. On the road I / 11 to the east through the village of Dlouhopolsko and further to the settlement of Na Kopíčák to the place where the road overloads the border of the cadastres of the villages of Běrunice and Pížíčice. Following this border it leads south to the fencing of the Kopichovka Pond Area. Following the fence, the border leads approximately south-east to the Bludd Gate. From there to the east, along a paved road, they walk to the intersection of the roads, from which they continue to the southwest of the paved road west of the Bluddy agricultural object to the railway line. After the track about 50 m east, it then crosses the southern direction along the footbridge along the borders of the Chotovice cadastres and the End through the right-cut arm of Cidlina and the flooded meadow. After the bridge through Cidlin leads to the village of Gun and then south on the road to the intersection with the local road * * *) Žiželice-Chotovice. Following this communication in the western direction along the estate of the Korean Court, the municipality of Choťovice to the starting point in the village of Žehun.
Explanatory notes:
*) If the text of the Annex indicates that the border leads on the road, it is indicated that it leads on the edge of the road auxiliary parcel, namely the edge facing into the bird's area.
* *) If the text of the Annex indicates that the border leads along the way, it is expressed that it leads along the edge of the road, namely the border heading into the bird's area.
* * *) If the text of the Annex indicates that the border is situated along local communication, it is expressed that it is situated along the edge of the road auxiliary parcel, and that it is located on the edge of the bird's area.
