THE LAW
of 25 April 1968
on changes in the organisation and competence of certain central authorities
The National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic decided on this law:
(1) The State Price Office organises and conducts price controls, decides on the consequences of price violations and price policy principles and solves price disputes in accordance with the relevant rules.
(2) Workers of the State Price Office are entitled
(a) require the staff of the national authorities and organisations checked and the persons checked to establish the necessary conditions for the performance of price checks, in particular the submission of supporting documents and oral or written reports on certain facts or explanations of the causes of the deficiencies found;
(b) require the management of the audited bodies and organisations to remedy the deficiencies identified and propose the implementation of the necessary measures in accordance with the results of the price control;
(c) require cooperation between other control authorities and, where appropriate, other professionals, with the exception of the authorities and personnel of the people's control.
(3) Workers of public administrations and organisations are obliged to assist the control staff of the State Price Office, in particular to submit the required documents, to provide timely and complete reports and explanatory notes, without delay to remedy the deficiencies identified and to report on the implementation of the measures taken within the time limits.
In order to carry out price control, the State Price Office sets up separate workplaces.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
