DECLARATION
of 10 February 2012
on the commemorative badge of the resistance and resistance to communism and the memorial badge for the survivor of the resistance and resistance to communism and the rules of their wearing (on the memorial badge for participation in the third resistance)
According to § 10 (2) of Act No. 262 / 2011 Coll., the Ministry of Defence provides:
(1) The commemorative badge of the resistance and resistance to communism (hereinafter referred to as "participant's badge") and the memorial badge for the survivor of the resistance and resistance to communism (hereinafter referred to as "survivor's badge") are circular in shape with a profile.
(2) On the front of the badges referred to in paragraph 1, a symbol of the Czech lion with a liliac ending with a broken tail is placed at the centre of the heraldic lower edge. The symbol of the Czech lion is coloured in contrast to the other surface of the badge by confusion. Above the Czech lion is the inscription "DEPARTMENT AND AFFAIRS 1948 1989," which is performed as a low relief, divided into four lines, whose third and fourth lines partially overlap the Czech lion. On the edge of the right heraldic side of the badge, the barbed wire is shown by a plastic highlighting inserted along the edge of the badge to its left heraldic side. The barbed wire is displayed as a bundle of two twisted bars, on which are placed three four-pointed bundles of thorns which are curled by a triple ring around the longitudinal bars surrounding the heraldic right and bottom side of the Czech lion; two of the thorns of the second and third union of thorns significantly exceed the edge of the badge, which symbolizes communist totalitarian unfreedom, raping the fundamental natural values and ideals of patriotism, honor, bravery and humanity, preventing man's desire for freedom.
(3) The reverse side of the badges referred to in paragraph 1 shall bear the registration number of the badge. Numbering of individual badges is performed in a sequence of ascending number series, especially for subscriber badges and especially for survivors badges. The numeric marking of a single badge is made by stamping.
(1) The participant's badge is of golden colour, has a diameter of 22 mm with a tolerance of 3 mm and a thickness of 2,5 mm with a tolerance of 0,5 mm.
(2) The grips for attaching the subscriber's badge to the garment consist of a pair of points placed on the reverse of the badge.
(3) The survivor's badge is silver-coloured, has a diameter of 35 mm with a tolerance of 5 mm and a thickness of 2,5 mm with a tolerance of 0,5 mm.
(4) The survivor's badge is not fitted on the reverse.
(1) The model of the front of the badge of a participant is set out in Annex 1 to this order.
(2) The model of the front of the badge for the survivor is set out in Annex 2 to this order.
The badge of the participant shall be worn on the upper left of the upper pocket of the uniform or on the left of the citizen's garment and, if this is not possible, the latter may be worn on the left of the upper garment of the wearer of the subscriber's badge.
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
