DECLARATION
of 19 December 2011
on the issue of a commemorative silver two hundred crown for the 400th anniversary of Rudolf II's death.
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll.:
(1) On 11 January 2012, the 400th anniversary of the death of Emperor Rudolf II is issued a commemorative silver two hundred crown (hereinafter referred to as "two hundred crown").
(2) Two hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version with polished field of coin and matte relief (hereinafter "special version").
(3) The two-hundred korona in normal and special design is rolled from an alloy containing 925 parts of silver and 75 parts of copper. The weight of the 2-hundredth crown is 13 g, its diameter 31 mm and the force 2,3 mm. In the case of an embossing of two hundred crowns in normal and special design, the tolerance shall be 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,15 mm in thickness. In mass, the tolerance shall be up to 0,26 g and in the silver content shall be up to 1%. The edge of two hundred crowns in normal design is serrated, the edge of two hundred crowns in special design is smooth with the feature "CZECH NATIONAL BANKA * Ag 0.925 * 13 g *."
(1) On the front of the two hundred crown is a transcript of the equestrian portrait of Rudolf II by Aegidium Sadeler. On the right of the Rudolf II portrait is the Czech lion in the oval coming from the portal leading from the Vladislav Hall to the Chapel of all saints. The Oval is partly covered by the Rudolf II monogram from the south tower of St. Vitus Cathedral. At the bottom of the two-hundredth crown there is a transcription of the engraving from 1606 showing Prague, through which is the inscription "PRAGA." At the left, upper and right edges of the two hundred crowns, the name of the state is "CZECH REPUBLIC" and the denomination of the coin with the abbreviation "200 CZK." The brand of the Czech Mint consisting of the composition of the letters "No" and "M" is at the left edge of the two-hundred crown left of the back legs of the horse.
(2) On the reverse side of the two hundred crown is a portrait of Rudolf II, according to the period engraving by Aegidium Sadeler. On the right of the Rudolf II portrait is the Habsburg eagle, partially covered by the portrait, and under the portrait is the signature of the emperor. To the right of the signature of the emperor are the years "1612 - 2012." At the left edge of the two hundred crown is a copy of "RUDOLF II." At the lower right edge of the two hundred crown, the initials of the author are two hundred crown, the academic sculptor Majka Wichner, which are composed of the letters "MW."
(3) The picture of the two hundred crown is given in the annex to this decree.
This Decree takes effect on 11 January 2012.
