THE LAW
of 21 January 2004
amending certain laws in connection with the adoption of the Security Act of the President of the Republic after the end of office
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Amendment to Act No. 236 / 1995 Coll., as amended
Act No. 236 / 1995 Coll., on the salary and other formalities connected with the performance of the duties of representatives of State authority and of certain state bodies and judges, as amended by Act No. 138 / 1996 Coll., Act No. 287 / 1997 Coll., Act No. 155 / 2000 Coll., Act No. 231 / 2001 Coll., Act No. 309 / 2002 Coll., Act No. 420 / 2002 Coll., Act No. 362 / 2003 Coll. is amended as follows:
1. In Article 7 (1), the words "the President of the Republic and 'shall be inserted after the words" except'.
2. In Paragraph 37 (2), the words "and severance grants' are deleted.
Amendment to Act No. 114 / 1993 Coll., as amended
In Article 2 of Act No. 114 / 1993 Coll., on the Office of the President of the Republic, the current text is renumbered as paragraph 1 and the following paragraph 2 is added, including footnote 1:
"(2) The Office shall pay from its budget a rent and a flat-rate multipurpose refund to the former President of the Republic and shall make the vehicle, with or without the driver, available to persons, to the extent and under the conditions laid down in special legislation.1)

footnote (1) shall be renumbered footnote (1a), including the reference to that footnote.

"(zn) the rent, compensation and benefits in kind provided to the former President of the Republic under specific legislation.";
EFFECTIVE
This law shall take effect on the first day of the calendar month following its publication.
