on the reimbursement of Members and salaries of officials of the Slovak National Council
The Slovak National Council decided on this law:
(1) Members of the Slovak National Council are entitled to reimbursement of expenses relating to the exercise of the parliamentary mandate. The refund shall be paid in advance each month and shall not be subject to payroll tax. If a Member of the Slovak National Council is a Member of the National Assembly at the same time, he shall be compensated only as Members of the National Assembly.
(2) The functionalities of the Slovak National Council are the functional salary and other requirements. The functional salary and other formalities shall be paid monthly in arrears. Entitlement to a functional salary and other formalities shall arise on the day on which the official was elected and shall expire three months after the end of the term of office. The basic functional salary of officials is subject to taxation under the payroll tax law.
Members of the Slovak National Council may not be reduced to rights and entitlements arising from an employment relationship or similar relationship in order to perform their duties. Members who are fully relieved of their duties shall remain in employment; they shall not be entitled to a salary.
(1) Members of the Slovak National Council, the President of the Slovak National Council or the President of the relevant Commission of the Slovak National Council, as well as for the time needed to travel to and from the designated place of employment, shall be entitled to a subsistence and a bed-room allowance for taking part in meetings of the Slovak National Council or of its bodies to which the Member is a member and to take part in other tasks.
(2) Members shall be compensated for in respect of the days referred to in paragraph 1 by the organisation in respect of which they are employed for the average earnings calculated over the last three months. Members who are not in employment shall receive adequate compensation for the loss of earnings by the State.
(3) Members may use public transport vehicles free of charge throughout the whole territory of the State. For meetings of the Slovak National Council, its bodies and for trips under the authority of the Bureau of the Slovak National Council, the President of the Slovak National Council or the chairman of the relevant Commission of the Slovak National Council, they may also use aircraft including return trips.
(4) Details, in particular the amount of compensation, the digestible and dormitory members of the Slovak National Council, to whom the officials of the Slovak National Council and to what extent the functional salary and other formalities are to be determined by the Bureau of the Slovak National Council.
The Act of the Slovak National Council No. 146 / 1960 Coll., on Reimbursements of Members of the Slovak National Council and on the salaries of the President, Vice-Presidents and delegates of the Slovak National Council is hereby repealed.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
