DECLARATION
of 8 December 2008
on the issue of commemorative silver CZK 200 on the occasion of the Presidency of the Czech Republic in the Council of the European Union
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll.:
(1) On the occasion of the Presidency of the Czech Republic in the Council of the European Union, a commemorative silver two hundred crowns (hereinafter referred to as "two hundred crowns") are issued. Its depiction is set out in an annex to this decree.
(2) Two hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version intended for collector's purposes with a polished field of coin and matte relief (hereinafter referred to as the special version).
(3) Two hundred korona in normal and special design is rolled from an alloy containing 900 parts of silver and 100 parts of copper. The weight of the two-hundredth crown is 13 g, its diameter 31 mm and its strength 2.4 mm. The edge of two hundred crowns in normal version is serrated, the edge of two hundred crowns in special version is smooth with the feature "CZECH NATIONAL BANKA * Ag 0.900 * 13 g *." In the case of an embossing of two hundred crowns in normal and special design, the tolerance shall be 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,15 mm in thickness. In mass, the tolerance shall be up to 0,26 g and in the silver content shall be up to 1%.
(1) On the cheek of a two-hundred crown is placed a composition of stylized heraldic animals from a large state emblem. There are 12 five-pointed stars symbolising the European Union along the perimeter of the heraldic animal composition. On the circumference of two hundred crowns is the name of the state "CZECH REPUBLIC" and the denomination of the coin with the abbreviation "200 CZK." Individual parts of the copy are separated by dots. The mark of the mint that struck the two hundred crown is placed at the bottom of the two hundred crown between the name of the state and the five-pointed stars.
(2) On the back of a two-hundredth crown, it is at the centre of the coin field in a circle of 12 five-pointed stars symbolising the European Union. At the right, bottom and left edge of the coin, a two-row unclosed copy of the "PRESIDENT OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC IN THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION" is separated by dots between words. At the upper right edge of the two-hundredth crown, "2009" is separated from the copy by a dot. The upper edge of the two hundred crown is the national flag of the Czech Republic. At the left edge of the national flag of the Czech Republic are the initials of the author of the two hundred crowns, MgA. Josef Oplištil, which are composed of the associated letters "OJ."
This Decree shall take effect on 7 January 2009.
