THE LAW
of 22 July 2004
on the acceptance of loans from the European Investment Bank to finance the construction of part of the D8 motorway
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
(1) The Czech Republic is entitled to receive loans from the European Investment Bank to finance the construction of the D8 motorway in the section between Trmice and the national border of the Czech Republic with the Federal Republic of Germany totalling CZK 12 000 000 000 000. Each loan shall be payable within 25 years of the date of signature of the relevant credit agreement, but no later than 31 December 2031.
(2) The section of the D8 motorway between Trmice and the national border of the Czech Republic with the Federal Republic of Germany includes buildings identified in the project documentation as:
(a) D8 - 0807 / IA Trmice - Moustache - main route km 76,556 - 88,800
b) D8 - 0807 / IB bridge over ČD lines in Trmice
(c) D8 - 0807 / IC bridge on ČD line Ústí nad Labem - Bridge
d) D8 - 0807 / ID bridge on ČD Děčín - Oldřichov
(e) D8 - 0807 / IIE bridge
(f) D8 - 0807 / IIF tunnel Libouchec
(g) D8 - 0807 / IIG tunnel
h) D8 - 0807 / IIH route Petrovice - border bridge
(i) D8 - 0807 / IIJ exploration straws tunnel Virgin
(j) D8 - 0807 / II border bridge.
(3) The credit agreements referred to in paragraph 1 will be negotiated and concluded on behalf of the Czech Republic by the Minister for Finance.
The appropriations received by the loans referred to in Paragraph 1 (1) may exceed the total expenditure of the State budget approved by the State Budget Act in the financial year in which the funds thus obtained are used. This overrun shall be amended in the relevant financial year by the balance of the State budget and the corresponding appropriations.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
