The Bureau of the National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic has decided pursuant to Article 60 (2) of the Constitution on the following legal measure:
In the interests of a comprehensive solution to the basic theoretical problems of agricultural science, with the participation of all scientific disciplines and the desirable development of basic theoretical research important for agriculture, the tasks of basic theoretical research, which have been carried out so far by the Czechoslovak Academy of Agricultural Sciences, are transferred to the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management is responsible for other tasks of the Czechoslovak Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
Research centres of the Czechoslovak Academy of Agricultural Sciences performing the tasks of basic theoretical research are integrated into the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences; Other research centres of the Czechoslovak Academy of Agricultural Sciences are directly subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water.
Detailed distribution of research tasks and research centres will be carried out by the Chairman of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences in agreement with the Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Water.
Membership in the Czechoslovak Academy of Agricultural Sciences, together with the rights and obligations associated with it, is no longer possible.
Act No. 90 / 1952 Coll., on the Czechoslovak Academy of Agricultural Sciences, as amended by Act No. 6 / 1956 Coll., and the statutory measures of the Bureau of the National Assembly No. 90 / 1958 Coll., on the establishment of a branch of the Czechoslovak Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Slovakia are hereby repealed.
This legal measure shall take effect on 1 April 1962.
