Czechoslovak State Banks
of 30 September 1992
on the issue of commemorative silver storeys for the 1000th anniversary of the founding of the Břevnovský monastery
According to § 27 (a) of Act No. 22 / 1992 Coll., on the State Bank of Czechoslovak:
(1) On the occasion of the 1000th anniversary of the establishment of the Břevnovský monastery in Prague, the first male monastery of the order of benedictines in the Czech countries, commemorative silver hundred crowns are issued (hereinafter referred to as "stokorona").
(2) The Stokoruna is rolled from an alloy containing 700 parts of silver and 300 parts of copper. The weight of the stocron is 13 g, its diameter is 31 mm. The coin edge is serrated. In the case of stomachs, a tolerance up and down of 10 / 1000, in silver content 5 / 1000, is permitted.
(1) On the face of the Stokron is the state emblem of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic. The name of the State "CZECH AND SLOVAK FEDERATIVE REPUBLIC" is in an unclosed copy at the edge of the coin. Under the national emblem, the value "100 CZK" is in two rows.
(2) On the back of the stokorona is in the foreground in the middle of the Romanesque column, a symbol of the architecture of the original monastery. There is another Romanesque column and fragment of the Romanesque arch on the left. At the left edge of the coin, under the fragment of the Romanesque Arch, the inscription "CLASTER OF BRAVNOVSKÝ 993.1993" is placed in three rows in parallel with the bars of the Romanesque Columns. In the right half of this side of the coin is depicted a complex of monastic buildings with the dominance of St. Margaret's Church, around the buildings and Romanesque column there are several stylized tree crowns as a symbol of the green surrounding Břevnov monastery. The Latin inscription "ARCHISTERIUM BREVNOVIENSE" is placed on the left above the roof of St. Margaret's Church in two rows parallel to the blade of the Romanesque column, which turns towards the right edge of the coin into a Roman arch. The author of the hundred crown design is Jaroslav Bejvl. The initials of his name "JB" are placed at the bottom of the coin under the left Romanesque column.
This Decree shall take effect on 30 December 1992.
