GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 16 December 2008
on the security of designated constitutional officials of the Czech Republic
The Government orders pursuant to § 49 paragraph 1 (a) of Act No. 273 / 2008 Coll., on the Police of the Czech Republic:
§ 1
(1) Security is provided to a constitutional agent of the Czech Republic who carries out the following functions:
(a) the President of the Republic, even after his duties have ceased;
(b) the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic,
(c) President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic,
(d) Prime Minister.
(2) Security shall also be provided to the following members of the Government on a permanent basis:
(a) the Minister for Finance;
(b) the Minister for Foreign Affairs,
(c) the Minister for the Interior,
(d) the Minister for Justice,
(e) Minister for Industry and Trade.
§ 2
(1) Security is understood as a summary of the protection and security measures implemented by the Czech Police to perform the duties of constitutional officer of the Czech Republic without interruption.
(2) The extent to which safety is ensured depends on the security situation and the potential level of threat.
§ 3
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 2009.
