on updating the TNM classification of malignant neoplasms
The Czech Statistical Office, pursuant to § 19 (2) of Act No. 89 / 1995 Coll., on the National Statistical Service, announces with effect from 1 January 2018 the update of TNM classification of malignant neoplasms.
The Czech Statistical Office introduced TNM classification of malignant neoplasms by Communication No 49 / 2005 Coll., of 17 January 2005. This classification was updated by Communication No 324 / 2010 Coll., dated 19 November 2010.
TNM classification of malignant neoplasms is a system for describing the anatomical extent of diseases based on the determination of three components: T - the extent of primary tumor, N - absence or presence and extent of metastases in regional lymph nodes, M - absence or presence of distant metastases.
The valid version of the updated TNM classification of malignant neoplasms will be available for ordering by means of contact information on the website of the Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic http: / / www.uzis.cz / catalogue / classification / tnm-classification-neoplasms.
