GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 16 December 2008
on the occupation of soldiers of the Czech Army to carry out tasks of the Police of the Czech Republic in radiation accidents at nuclear power plants
The Government orders pursuant to § 14 (3) of Act No. 219 / 1999 Coll., on the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic, and pursuant to § 22 (1) of Act No. 273 / 2008 Coll., on the Police of the Czech Republic:
In order to carry out the tasks of the Police of the Czech Republic in ensuring internal order and security in the Czech Republic, a maximum of 500 soldiers in active service and a maximum of 200 soldiers in active service in the event of a radiation accident at the Temelin nuclear power station shall be used for the period necessary.
Soldiers in active service carry out tasks under Section 1 under the command of a member of the Police of the Czech Republic. Soldiers in active duty carry out these tasks with weapons.
The Minister of Defence shall designate soldiers in active service, including military equipment and equipment, to carry out the tasks referred to in Section 1.
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 2009.
