DECLARATION
of 5 November 2025
on the War Veteran Card and Badge of the War Veteran
The Ministry of Defence provides pursuant to § 4 (8) of Act No. 170 / 2002 Coll., on War Veterans, as amended by Act No. 299 / 2025 Coll.:
War veteran ID
(1) The war veteran card is a printed white plastic card with 54 x 86 mm rounded corners.
(2) On the front of the pass on the left side there is a lip branch combined with gold and grey. On the bottom right is a large state emblem. On the front is text shown
(a) "PROHIBITION OF YOUR VETERAN War Veteran Identification Card,"
(b) "The Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic confirms that:"
(c) rank or rank, surname and name of war veteran,
(d) the words "date of birth" and the date of birth of a war veteran,
(e) "is a holder of the war veteran certificate," and
(f) the registration number.
(3) On the back of the licence on the left side there is a lime branch combined with gold and grey. On the back is text shown
(a) "This card shall be valid in conjunction with an identity card. This card is valid with an Identity Card" a
b) "If found, please send this card to: If found, please return to: Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic, Tychonova 221 / 1, 160 00 Praha 6, Czech Republic."
(4) The model of the war veteran licence is set out in Annex 1 to this Decree.
Badge of war veteran
(1) The badge of a war veteran is made up of a metal shield in the colour of starobronz. The upper edge of the plastically highlighted shield contains the words "WAR VETERAN." The central area of the badge is situated with a stylized artistically shaped flag of the Czech Republic in full colour, supplemented by a symbolic sword. The letters "CR" are placed in the lower part of the badge.
(2) The model of the badge of a war veteran is set out in Annex 2 to this decree.
Efficacy
This Decree shall take effect on the 15th day following its publication.
