GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 26 November 2001
on the unilateral abolition of the visa requirement in relation to the Principality of Monaco, the Republic of San Marino, the Holy See and the Supreme Order of the Maltese Knights
The Government orders pursuant to § 181 (a) of Act No. 326 / 1999 Coll., on the residence of foreigners in the Czech Republic and on the amendment of certain laws, as amended by Act No. 140 / 2001 Coll.:
(1) Holders of valid diplomatic, service and travel passports of the Principality of Monaco, the Republic of San Marino and the Holy See and holders of valid diplomatic passports of the Sovereign Order of Maltese Knights may enter the territory of the Czech Republic and temporarily stay without a visa for a maximum period of 90 days, unless the purpose of their stay is to pursue a professional activity.
(2) Holders of valid diplomatic and service passports of Holy See who travel to the territory of the Czech Republic as members of a diplomatic mission to take up their duties may travel and reside in the territory of the Czech Republic for the duration of their secondment without visas. The same rules apply to family members living with persons mentioned in the previous sentence of the common household, provided that they also hold valid diplomatic and service passports of the Holy See.
(3) Holders of valid diplomatic passports of the Supreme Order of Maltese Knights who travel to the Czech Republic as members of a diplomatic mission to take up their duties may travel and reside in the Czech Republic during their secondment without a visa. The same rules apply to family members who live with persons mentioned in the previous sentence in the common household if they also hold valid diplomatic passports of the Supreme Order of the Maltese Knights.
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 2002.
