CONSTRUCTION LAW
of 27 February 1990
on the shortening of the term of the legislative bodies
The Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic decided on this constitutional law:
§ 1
The election period of the House of the People and the House of Nations of the Federal Assembly, the Czech National Council and the Slovak National Council elected in 1986 will end in 1990 with the date of election to the relevant legislative bodies.
§ 2
(1) The election period of the House of the People and the House of Nations of the Federal Assembly of the CSSR to be elected in the 1990 elections will last 24 months.
(2) The election period of the Czech National Council and the Slovak National Council, which will be elected in the 1990 elections, is determined by their constitutional laws.
§ 3
This constitutional law shall take effect on the day of its publication.
