Decree of the Minister of Finance
of 30 May 1953
on the issue of money model 1953.
The Minister of Finance declares, pursuant to § 3 (2) of Act No. 41 / 1953 Coll., on the financial reform:
On 1 June 1953, new money of the 1953 model is put into circulation, which is based on Czechoslovak crowns.
(a) Czechoslovak National Bank banknotes of 100, 50, 25 and 10 KCs (§ 2);
(b) statuses of 5, 3 and 1 Ccs (§ 3),
(c) coins of 25, 10, 5 and 3 pennies and 1 pennies (§ 4).
(1) The banknotes referred to in Section 1 (a) are printed on white paper with watermark, evenly distributed over the whole area of the paper.
(2) In addition to marking the value, the following texts are always in the Czech and Slovak languages: "BANKNOCK OF THE STATE BANK OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC," "BANKS ARE THE KITTS OF THE ZLATEM AND OTHER ACTIVITIES OF THE STATE BANK OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC" and "Counterfeiting of banknotes is punishable by law." A series of two letters and a six-digit banknote number are printed in red on the face of each banknote, with a series of 100 CZK on the banknotes and 50 CZK on the bills. The year "1953" is printed on each bill.
(3) Banknotes of 100 CZK are of basic colour brown. On the cheek there is a figure of a worker and peasant in the left part of the decorated frame with a laurel slide. In the right part of the surface on a light brown base in the middle of the rose, the figure "100 ', which overlaps the value of the banknote, is printed in darker pink. In the right-hand corner of the oval rose there is a" 100. "On the back of the bill is a picture of Hradčan in a rectangular frame. The left part of the frame is partially covered by a state emblem, which is embedded in ornamental decoration on a light green background. In the middle of the frame up and in the middle of the right in light green shade is the figure" 100. "The number" 100 "is also under the state emblem.
(4) Banknotes of 50 CZK are of basic colour green. In the left side of the cheek in the decorated frame, on the dark green background is a picture of a Czechoslovak guerrilla meeting with a Soviet soldier - the liberator. Below this image is a rose with a light green number "50," another digit "50" is in the right corner of the top. In the light of the green, a simple rectangular frame in the middle is decorated with "50" blue green shade on the rose decoration and under it the value of the banknote is written in words. On the reverse in the frame with the number "50" in its right corner up and down and with the state emblem, with the decoration of green and blue-green paint all over the left part of the frame, is the picture of Banská Bystrica.
(5) Banknotes of 25 CZK are of the basic colour blue. The figure "25" in all corners of the frame. In the left part of the framed area there is a picture of Jan Žížka on a horse on a dark blue background set in the decorated frame. In the right half of this area, the purple and blue-green colour of the figure "25" in the rose ornament, followed by the value of the banknote in words. The town of Tabor is depicted on the reverse in the oval frame of the purple shade. The frame is covered on the left by a state character under which the figure "25 'is printed, the other two digits" 25' are placed in small roses on the right.
(6) Banknotes of 10 CZK are of a basic colour of brick brown. On the cheek in a richly decorated frame is on the left side the ornamental adjustment of the figure "10." The number "10" is placed further in the right corners of the frame both up and down. The centre of the banknote is formed by a light brown net, into which the green lines are embedded in a rose with the number "10" as well as the green colour, a printed marking of the value of the banknote in words. On the reverse in the upper corners of the frame, the digits "10" are oblique, the lower corners of the frame bear the digits "10," upright. The left part is carried in an oval frame, decorated in the lower part and on the sides with lime branches and grain ears, with a state emblem on a brick brown ground. On the right side of the state emblem, on the ground of green rays, there is a longitudinal frame delimiting the oval shape with a large decorated digit "10" in the middle.
(1) The states referred to in § 1 (b) are printed on white paper with a well-visible watermark, evenly distributed over the whole surface of the paper.
(2) In addition to the marked value of the statuses, in the Czech and Slovak languages, the text is always printed on the face of the "CZECH REPUBLIC" and "DISTRIBUTION IS PRESSURE," the reverse of the "STATE IS THE FUCKING REPUBLIC OF CZECH REPUBLIC." THE AUTHORITIES, UNDERTAKINGS AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS AND PERSONS ARE OBLIGATIONS TO BE ACCEPTED TO ALL PAYMENTS ON THE BASED VALUE '. The year "1953" is printed on the face of each stateroom and the series is printed in red in two letters and six digits.
(3) The 5-ccs states have a light green basic colour. On the cheek in ornamental decoration is "5" in all corners. The centre of the stateroom has a large figure "5" in the underprint in bright green contours, a printed indication of the value of the stateroom with words. On the reverse of the stateroom in the middle there is a state emblem whose frame is surrounded by grain ears and lime leaves on both sides. Above the state emblem is the sign "THE REPUBLIC OF CZECHOSLOVAKIA." On both sides of the national emblem on the net of bright green color are decorated figures "5."
(4) The 3-ccs states have the basic colour of light blue. There are "3" in both upper corners on the face in ornamental presentation. In the centre of the stalls formed on the base of the blue-green decorative net is in the middle in the vertically erected oval rose number "3" marked with words on the sides. The next digits "3" are on both upper corners and in the underprint on the lower edge on both sides. The Rub has a framed state emblem in ornament in the middle. Its frame is printed in the upper part with the inscription "REPUBLIC OF CZECHOSLOVAKIA." On both sides of the national emblem are "3" as the underprint.
(5) States of 1 ccs have a basic colour of light brown. The RS carries the digit "1" in all corners of the frame. The centre of the stand of the light brown line net and with a rose of darker colour in the middle shall bear the value of the statebox with words on both sides of the ornamental background white number "1." The Rub has a national emblem in its centre in a decorated frame with lime branches on the bottom. Above the frame of the state emblem is the inscription "REPUBLIC OF CZECHOSLOVSKÁ," which partly overlaps the rosary on both sides of the state emblem, in whose middle is the large digit "1." The digits "1" are also printed on all corners.
The coins referred to in § 1 (c) shall bear, for all values in the middle, a figure on the face expressing their value; The figures are always placed between the lipid slides, closed by a ribbon in the middle of the bottom. There's a five-point star at the end of the lip twigs above the digit in the middle. The reverse of all coins shall bear a national emblem in the middle with the inscription "REPUBLIC OF CZECHOSLOVAKIA 'along the perimeter of the coin and the year" 1953' between this inscription below. Coins of 25 pennies have a diameter of 24 mm, coins of 10 pennies of 22 mm, coins of 5 pennies of 20 mm, coins of 3 pennies of 18 mm and coins of 1 pennies of 16 mm. Coin strength of 25 and 10 pennies is 1.2 mm, other coins 1 mm. Coins of 25 and 10 pennies are embossed with serrated edges, coins of 5 and 3 pennies and 1 pennies of smooth edges.
This Decree takes effect on 1 June 1953.
