DECLARATION
of 5 December 2012
on guarantees of the origin of electricity from renewable energy sources
The Ministry of Industry and Trade provides pursuant to § 53 (1) (f) of Act No. 165 / 2012 Coll., on Supported Energy Sources and on the amendment of certain laws:
Subject matter
This decree provides
(a) a model application for a guarantee of the origin of electricity from renewable energy sources (hereinafter referred to as "the guarantee of origin"); and
(b) the conditions for issuing and recognising the guarantee of origin.
Model application for guarantee of origin
The guarantee of origin shall be issued on application the specimen of which appears in the Annex to this Order.
Conditions for issuing a guarantee of origin and conditions for recognising a guarantee of origin issued in another Member State of the European Union
(1) An application for a guarantee of origin shall be submitted electronically to the market operator through the account of the holder of the guarantee of origin in the register of guarantees of origin to the market operator.
(2) An application for a guarantee of origin shall be submitted for electricity produced at least in the value of 1 MWh and its multiples delivered to the electricity system in the Czech Republic for a period of 1, 2 or 3 calendar months.
(3) The market operator shall issue a guarantee of origin as an electronic certificate on behalf of the holder of the guarantees of origin after the end of the final financial settlement of the derogations by the market operator and after payment of the price for the issue of the guarantee of origin. This guarantee of origin shall be kept in the active register of guarantees of origin for 12 months from the end of the period of electricity production indicated in the application for a guarantee of origin.
(4) A guarantee of origin issued in another Member State of the European Union may be accepted if its electronic transfer is made from the registration of guarantees of origin from that Member State of the European Union to the registration of guarantees of origin in the Czech Republic.
Repeal
Decree No 343 / 2008 Coll., laying down the model application for the guarantee of the origin of electricity from renewable energy sources and the model of the guarantee of the origin of electricity from renewable energy sources, is deleted.
Efficacy
This Decree shall take effect on 1 January 2013.
