THE LAW
of 6 July 1971
on elections to the Federal Assembly
The Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic decided on this law:
(1) A Member who has failed to trust voters or who has committed an undignified role as an MEP may be dismissed at any time.
(2) The application for the removal of a Member is submitted by the competent authority of the National Front. It shall notify the Member whose appeal is sought, stating the reasons. The Member shall have the right to make oral or written observations on the application.
(3) The motion for appeal shall be submitted by the competent authority of the National Front to the Bureau of the Federal Assembly.
(4) The Bureau of the Federal Assembly shall ensure that public electoral meetings in the constituency are convened to discuss the motion for the removal of a Member. The motion to dismiss Members shall be decided by the electorate at these meetings by public vote.
