DECLARATION
of 14 December 2022
amending Decree No. 387 / 2010 Coll., on the display of a military character and a national distinguishing sign, the method of marking of military material by a military character and an internationally valid distinguishing sign, the depiction of a military uniform and military badges and their wearing and marking of military equipment by a national distinguishing sign or a national symbol or a sign of the Castle Guard (on military marks and uniforms), as amended by Decree No 479 / 2012 Coll.
The Ministry of Defence provides for the Act No. 219 / 1999 Coll., on the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic, as amended by Act No. 147 / 2010 Coll.:
Čl. I
Decree No. 387 / 2010 Coll., on the display of a military character and a national distinguishing mark, the method of marking of military material by a military character and an internationally valid distinguishing sign, a depiction of a military uniform and military badges and their wearing and marking of military equipment by a national distinguishing sign or a national symbol or a sign of the Castle Guard (on military marks and uniforms), as amended by Decree No 479 / 2012 Coll., shall be amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 2 (3), including footnote 2, reads as follows:
"(3) Military material intended for humanitarian purposes is also known as internationally valid distinguishing features for military health services and military spiritual personnel (2). The red cross on the white field is an international hallmark of military health services and military spiritual staff.
2) Additional Protocol to the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949 on the Protection of the Victims of International Armed Conflict (Protocol I), published by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, No. 168 / 1991 Coll. The Geneva Convention on the Improvement of the Fate of the Wounded and Diseased Armed Forces in the Field of 12 August 1949 (Decree No 65 / 1954 Coll., on the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949 for the Protection of the Victims of War). '
2. In Article 3 (1), the words "international emblem, sleeve features of military services, military facilities and military rescue services' are replaced by the words" sleeve features of military services and military facilities'.
3. In Paragraph 3 (2), the words ", soldiers of the cyber forces and information operations and military intelligence 'shall be added at the end of point (a).
4. In Article 3 (2), the words "and designated military intelligence soldiers' shall be added at the end of the text of point (b).
5. in Article 3 (2) (c), the words "grey," the words "soldiers of military rescue services and" and the words "to these services" shall be deleted;
6. in Paragraph 3 (2) (e), the words "red, white, black" shall be inserted after the words "light blue."
7. in Paragraph 3 (2) (f), the words "secondary military school" are replaced by the words "military secondary school."
8. In Paragraph 3 (3), at the end of the text in subparagraph (c), the words "designated soldiers of Military Intelligence and pupils of military secondary school in the field of education for air forces' shall be added.
9. in Article 3 (3) (d):
"d) dark red is intended for soldiers of special forces, soldiers of paratroopers and troops, specialists of paratrooper and rescue services and soldiers of the Honorary Guard Army of the Czech Republic,."
10. in Article 3 (3) (e):
"(e) dark green is intended for soldiers of exploratory units and units, units and units of electronic combat, soldiers of cyber forces and information operations and soldiers of Military Intelligence,"
11. in Article 3 (3) (f), the words "soldiers of the ground forces, the Military Office of the President of the Republic and the Castle Guard" shall be replaced by the words "pupils of a military secondary school outside the fields of education for air forces."
12. in Article 3 (3), the words ", military health services and communication and information systems services" shall be added at the end of the text in point (g).
13. in Article 3 (3) (h):
"(h) Blue is intended for soldiers of the Castle Guard and Military Office of the President of the Republic."
14. In Article 3, at the end of paragraph 3, the dot is replaced by a comma and the following point (i) is added:
"(i) khaki is intended for soldiers of ground forces and the Honorary Guard of the Army of the Czech Republic."
15. The heading of § 8b reads:
"Proprietary designation of the Castle Guard on the representative uniform of members of the Group of Accompanying and Protection Services and Music of the Castle Guard."
16. in Paragraph 8b (1), the words "motorcycle units" shall be replaced by the words "Group of accompanying and protective services."
17. in Article 9, the following paragraph 1 is added:
"(1) On the shoulder of the military uniform of the battalion of rank
(a) the sergeant-in-chief shall be placed in one white grade belt,
b) The master is placed two white grade tapes,
(c) the ensign is placed three white grade tapes,
(d) the Ensign shall have four white grade tapes,
e) Staff Ensign is located one small silver five-pointed star and silver trim. '
Paragraphs 1 to 5 shall be renumbered paragraphs 2 to 6.
18. In Section 10, the following paragraph 1 is added:
"(1) On the shoulder of the representative uniform of the battalion of rank
(a) the sergeant-in-chief shall be placed in one white grade belt,
b) The master is placed two white grade tapes,
(c) the ensign is placed three white grade tapes,
(d) the Ensign shall have four white grade tapes,
e) Staff Ensign is located one small silver five-pointed star and silver trim. '
Paragraphs 1 to 5 shall be renumbered paragraphs 2 to 6.
19. Annex 2 is deleted.
20. Annex 3 reads as follows:

Čl. II
Transitional provision
Barets of individual colours used by soldiers in active service and students of military secondary school pursuant to Decree No. 387 / 2010 Coll., as effective before the date of entry into force of this Decree, may be used no later than 30 June 2023.
Čl. III
Efficacy
This Decree shall take effect on 1 January 2023.
