DECLARATION
of 17 February 2023
on the issue of the commemorative silver two hundred crowns for the 75th anniversary of the appointment of Josef Karl Matocho by the Archbishop of Olomouc
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 paragraph 1 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll. and Act No. 89 / 2018 Coll.:
(1) On 1 March 2023, on the 75th anniversary of the appointment of Josef Karl Matocho, Archbishop of Olomouc, a commemorative silver coin of 200 CZK (hereinafter referred to as the "two hundred crowns") is issued.
(2) Two hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version with polished field of coin and matte relief.
(3) Two hundred koruna is rolled from an alloy containing 925 parts of silver and 75 parts of copper. The weight of the two-hundredth crown is 13 g, its diameter 31 mm and its strength 2,2 mm. In the case of an embossing of two hundred crowns, the tolerance in the silver content shall be up to 1%, the difference in weight up to 0,26 g, the tolerance in diameter 0,1 mm and the tolerance in thickness 0,15 mm. The edge of two hundred crowns in normal design is serrated, the edge of two hundred crowns in special design is smooth with the feature "CZECH NATIONAL BANKA * Ag 0.925 * 13 g *."
(1) On the front of the two hundred crown, a cross in the crown of thorns is depicted in the middle of the coin field. The cross is partly covered with a small shield from the personal character of Archbishop Josef Karl Matochu. The text "CZECH REPUBLIC" is found on the perimeter of the coin. The denomination designation with the abbreviation "200 CZK" is placed at the bottom edge of the coin. The brand of the Czech Mint consisting of the letters "No" and "M" is placed at the lower right edge of the small shield.
(2) On the reverse side of the two hundred crown is a portrait of Josef Karl Matocha. At the lower right edge of the coin, there is a simplified variant of the Archbishop of Olomouc character and the texts "1948" and "2023" above it. The texts "JOSEF CAREL MATOCHA 'and" OLOMOUCKÉ ARCIBISKUP' appear in an incomplete copy around the coin. The initials of the author of the coin Mgr. Marie Šeborová, which are made up of composite letters "M" and "Š", are placed above the text "1948."
(3) The picture of the two hundred crown is given in the annex to this decree.
This Decree shall take effect on 1 March 2023.
