THE LAW
of 14 December 2023
amending Act No. 496 / 2012 Coll., on Audiovisual Works and the Promotion of Cinematography and on the Amendment of Certain Acts (Audiovisual Act), as amended
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
The Act No. 496 / 2012 Coll., on Audiovisual Works and the Promotion of Cinematography and on the Amendment of Certain Acts (Audiovisual Act), as amended by Act No. 139 / 2016 Coll., Act No. 183 / 2017 Coll., Act No. 261 / 2021 Coll. and Act No. 242 / 2022 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. In Paragraph 47 (3), the following sentence is inserted after the first sentence: "If the available funds of the Fund are not sufficient to cover fully the expected amount of the film incentive, the Fund shall suspend the application procedure until it obtains the available funds sufficient to cover fully the expected amount of the film incentive; the time limit referred to in Article 48 (1) is extended. The Fund shall deal with requests for registration of an incentive project gradually in the order of their submission and shall use the available funds as a priority to cover the estimated amount of the film incentive for the incentive projects for which it has suspended the application procedure. ';
2. In Paragraph 47 (8), the words "stay of proceedings or 'shall be inserted after the words" resolution of the Fund on'.
Efficacy
This Act shall take effect on the 15th day following its publication.
