THE LAW
of 18 September 2002
amending Act No. 199 / 1994 Coll., on Public Procurement, as amended
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Act No. 199 / 1994 Coll., on Public Procurement, as amended by Act No. 148 / 1996 Coll., Act No. 93 / 1998 Coll., Act No. 28 / 2000 Coll., Act No. 256 / 2000 Coll., Act No. 39 / 2001 Coll., Act No. 142 / 2001 Coll., Act No. 130 / 2002 Coll., Act No. 211 / 2002 Coll., Act No. 278 / 2002 Coll. is amended as follows:
1. In Section 50 (1) of the introductory part of the provision, the words "written calls sent by the contracting authority 'are replaced by" written calls from the contracting authority'.
2. in Article 50 (1), the following point (b) is inserted after point (a):
"(b) the removal of the consequences of a natural or other disaster and the immediate subsequent recovery of the property destroyed by it, where such a natural or other disaster is an exceptional occurrence on the basis of which the state of danger or emergency has been declared, for the duration of the declared condition until 3 months after the date on which the declared state of danger or declared emergency ended. The performance of the contract shall be initiated within 6 months of the end of the contract award, '.
Points (b) to (f) shall be renumbered as points (c) to (g).
Transitional provision
If the period referred to in Paragraph 50 (1) (b) expires before 31 December 2002, the last day of that period shall be 31 December 2002.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
