GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 16 August 2006
on the introduction of summer time between 2007 and 2011
The government orders pursuant to § 1 of Act No. 54 / 1946 Coll., on Summer Time, and to implement Act No. 65 / 1965 Coll., Labour Code:
This Regulation implements the relevant provisions of the European Community1) and provides for the introduction of summer time between 2007 and 2011.
The beginning and end of summer time between 2007 and 2011
(1) Summer time is introduced
(a) in 2007 on 25 March;
(b) in 2008 on 30 March;
(c) in 2009 on 29 March;
(d) in 2010, on 28 March,
(e) in 2011, 27 March.
These days, at the second hour of Central European time, the clock will shift to the third hour of summer time.
(2) Summer time ends
(a) in 2007 on 28 October;
(b) in 2008 on 26 October;
(c) in 2009 on 25 October;
(d) in 2010, 31 October;
(e) in 2011, 30 October.
In these days, the third hour of summer time will shift the clock to the second hour of Central European time.
Impact of summer time on fixed weekly working hours
(1) The fixed weekly working hours for staff members who, from 2007 to 2011, will be on their working shift, if this working shift decreases as a result of the introduction of summer time, will be one hour shorter in the week in question.
(2) The fixed weekly working hours for staff members whose summer time ends between 2007 and 2011 will be one hour longer if the working shift is extended as a result of the end of summer time.
Efficacy
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 September 2006.
