DECLARATION
Czech National Banks
of 31 October 2001
on the issue of commemorative silver CZK 200 to introduce the single European currency euro as currency
The Czech National Bank provides for the Czech National Bank in accordance with § 22 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank:
(1) For the introduction of the single European currency, the euro as currency on 1 January 2002 is issued commemorative silver two hundred crowns (hereinafter referred to as "two hundred crowns").
(2) Two hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version intended for collector's purposes with a polished field of coin and matte relief (hereinafter referred to as the special version).
(3) Two hundred korona in normal and special design is rolled from an alloy containing 900 parts of silver and 100 parts of copper. The weight of two hundred crowns is 13 g, its diameter is 31 mm and its strength is 2,35 mm. The edge of two hundred crowns in normal version is serrated, the edge of two hundred crowns in special version is smooth with the feature "CZECH NATIONAL BANKA * Ag 0.900 * 13 g *." In the case of two-hundredth stamping in normal and special design, the tolerance allowed shall be 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,15 mm in thickness. In the mass, the allowed tolerance is up to 0,26 g and in the silver content is up to 1%.
(1) On the face of two hundred crowns is an artistic composition of stylized heraldic animals from the great state sign of the Czech Republic located in a quarter rectangular area. The name of the state "CZECH REPUBLIC" and the denomination of the coin with the abbreviation "200 CZK" are in the copy at the edges of the two hundred crowns, with the non-equal letters and numbers of the copy partly interfering in the composition of heraldic animals and intermingling in places. Behind the name of the state is the dot. The mark of the mint which struck the two hundred crown is placed at the bottom of the two hundred crown between the first and second words of the name of the state.
(2) On the reverse of a two-hundred crown, a picture of the front side of the Prague grosh is placed at the centre of the coin field as a symbolic predecessor of the euro in medieval Europe. At the edges of the two hundred koruna is a closed copy, the first part of which is the euro logo, partly overlapping the depiction of the Prague grosh. The remaining part of the copy is "SINGLE • EUROPEAN MONEY • 1 • 1 • 2002 • '. The letters and digits of text of the same size partially interfere with the main pattern and are largely intertwined. The author of the design is Josef Shafarík. The initials of his name, the capital letter" J', in which the smaller letter "S 'is inserted, are placed in a rectangular area which replaces the dot between the words" EUROPEAN' and "MONETARY '.
This Decree shall take effect on 5 December 2001.
