DECLARATION
of 5 November 2021
on the issue of a commemorative silver coin for CZK 10,000 for the 100th anniversary of the founding of Great Prague
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 paragraph 1 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll. and Act No. 89 / 2018 Coll.:
(1) On 30 November 2021 a commemorative silver coin is issued for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Great Prague (hereinafter "coins").
(2) Coins are issued in normal design in a matted and polished variant. In the polished version the relief is matted and the field is polished.
(3) The coins are rolled from an alloy containing at least 999 parts of silver. The weight of the coin is 1000 g, its diameter 100 mm and its strength is 14 mm. When the coin is embossed, the tolerance in the silver content shall be up to 0,1%, the tolerance in weight up to 10 g, the tolerance in diameter 1 mm and the tolerance in strength 1 mm. The coin edge in the matted variant is serrated and the coin edge in the polished variant is smooth.
(1) The historical character of the capital city of Prague is represented on the front of the coin. The text "CZECH," "REPUBLIC" and the denomination of the coin with the abbreviation "10 000 CZK" are placed in the lower part of the coin field. The brand of the Czech Mint, which consists of the composition of the letters "No" and "M", is located at the left edge of the coin.
(2) On the reverse side of the coin is a map of Great Prague with an indication of the territory of all the originally separate historical municipalities and cities which in 1922-1968 formed Great Prague. On the perimeter of the coin are displayed shields from the characters of the following municipalities and cities: Vršovice, Baskets, Smíchov, Břevnov, Bubenec, Vyšehrad, Hradčany, Malá Strana, Old Town of Prague, New Town of Prague, Libeň, Vysočany, Karlín, Žižkov, Royal Vinohrady and Nusle. The upper part of the coin field is located in three rows "GREAT," "PRAHA" and "1922- 2022." The last name of the author of the coin of the academic sculptor Zbynek Fojt is located under the map of Great Prague.
(3) The coin is shown in the annex to this decree.
This Regulation shall enter into force on 30 November 2021.
