THE LAW
of 19 October 2000
on the establishment of the University of Tomas Bati in Zlín
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
(1) A public high school is hereby established (1) entitled Tomáš Bati University in Zlín. The seat of this public university is Zlín.
(2) The Faculty of Technology in Zlín, the Faculty of Management and Economy in Zlín and the College and Menza in Zlín, which, on the date of entry into force of this Act, become part of the University of Tomáš Bati in Zlín, is excluded from the Technical University in Brno.
(1) The property of the University of Tomáš Bati in Zlín is transferred free of charge on the date of entry into force of this Law
(a) immovable property and immovable property owned by the Technical University of Brno listed in Annex 1 to this Act, as well as rights and obligations associated with such immovable property and apartments;
(b) state-owned immovable property listed in Annex 2 to this law, as well as the rights and obligations associated with such immovable property.
(2) The property of the University of Tomáš Bati in Zlín is transferred from the ownership of the Technical University in Brno free of charge, as well as to the movable items forming accessories of real estate and flats listed in Annex 1, and also to the movable items used for the activities of the Faculty of Technology in Zlín, Faculty of Management and Economy in Zlín and Kolej and menza in Zlín. The inventory of movable goods moving under the provisions of this paragraph shall be part of the transfer protocol.
(3) At the University of Tomáš Bati in Zlín, the laws and obligations of the labour relations of employees of the University of Technology in Brno who are assigned to work at the Faculty of Technology in Zlín, the Faculty of Management and Economy in Zlín and the College and the Menu in Zlín, as well as other rights and obligations relating to those faculties, and the College and the Menu are transferred to the University of Technology in Zlín on the date of entry into force of this Act.
(1) Students who, on 31 December 2000, studied in accredited study programmes carried out by the Faculty of Technology in Zlín or the Faculty of Management and Economics in Zlín University of Technical Education in Brno become students of the University of Tomáš Bati in Zlín.
(2) Accredited study programmes, which were carried out on 31 December 2000 by the Faculty of Technology in Zlín or the Faculty of Management and Economy in Zlín University of Technical Education in Brno, become study programmes of the University of Tomáš Bati in Zlín; are accredited until 31 December 2002.
Efficacy
This Law shall take effect on 1 January 2001.
