The update of the Country Numbers (CZEM) is made on the basis of changes to the international standard ISO 3166-1 published on its website by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), and changes to the Czech names of the countries recommended for use by the Roundword Commission of the Czech Geometric and Catastral Office.

The purpose of the update is to change the English short name of the country from "Netherlands (the)" to "Netherlands (the)" and to change the Czech full and short name of the country from "Netherlands" to "Kingdom of the Netherlands."

The updated Country Number (CZEM) will be available on the Czech Statistical Office website at www.czso.cz.
