DECLARATION
Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic
of 27 December 1991
amending Directive No 9 / 1985 of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Socialist Republic on the organisation of blood, blood preparations and bone marrow transfusions, as amended by Decree No 1 / 1989 of the Czech Socialist Republic
The Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic provides pursuant to § 70 paragraph 1 (c) of Act No. 20 / 1966 Coll., on the care of the health of the people:
Čl. I
Directive of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Socialist Republic No 9 / 1985 Bulletin of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Socialist Republic on the organisational provision of blood, blood preparations and bone marrow transfusions (reg. 25 / 1985 Coll.), as amended by Decree No 1 / 1989 of the Central Journal of the Czech Socialist Republic (registered at the amount of 50 / 1988 Coll.), is amended as follows:
1. In Paragraph 2 (2), the second sentence is deleted.

„§ 5
Eligibility for blood donation
(1) The donor of blood, its components and bone marrow donors may be, unless contraindication is prevented, a person from 18 to 60 years of age, in exceptional cases, in particular when blood is collected for autotransfusion or in blood donation, a person younger or older; the consent of the legal representative is required for a person under the age of 18.
(2) Eligibility for collection is assessed by a doctor whose duties include blood collection (hereinafter "doctor"). This physician will determine the extent of the donor examination. In particular, testing of haemoglobin or haematocrit levels is required from laboratory results.
(3) Laboratory testing of blood donors should be carried out prior to collection; in permanent donors, the examination may be carried out from a sample of blood taken during collection. If a fresh transfusion product or bone marrow is scheduled to be administered, or if a more detailed donor examination is needed, a prior examination may be carried out.
(4) The blood collected is subsequently tested serologically for lues, hepatitis B and HIV 1. The test results should be known before administration; the exemption is only possible if the recipient's life is imminent (vital indication). ';
3. Paragraph 13, including the title, reads:
„§ 13
Contribution to blood donors
Blood donation is voluntary. A blood or component donor and bone marrow donor may make a financial contribution upon request. The uniform amount of the allowance shall be fixed by the transfusion establishment. ';
4. Paragraph 14, including the title, reads:
„§ 14
Donor refreshment
The donor of blood or blood components shall be entitled to refreshments after collection. '
Čl. II
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
