Government Regulation
of 19 August 1952
on further changes in the organisation of universities.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic orders pursuant to § 3 and § 7 (3) of Act No. 58 / 1950 Coll., on Higher Education:
§ 1.
(1) The Czech Technical University Faculty of Chemistry in Prague is established on 1 September 1952.
(2) This university is divided into faculties of inorganic technology, organic technology and food technology.
(3) On 1 September 1953, the Faculty of Chemical Technology for Fuel is established at this university.
§ 2.
(1) The Faculty of Economics and Engineering is established on 1 September 1952 at the Czech Technical University in Prague and at the Slovak Technical College in Bratislava.
(2) The Faculty of Economics and Engineering is established at the University of Mining in Ostrava on 1 September 1953.
§ 3.
The Faculty of Special Teachings at the Czech Technical University in Prague is repealed on 1 September 1952.
§ 4.
(1) The Railway Faculty is established on 1 September 1952 at the Czech Technical University.
(2) From the Railway Faculty of Czech Technical University in Prague, a railway college in Prague is established on 1 September 1953. This university is divided into faculties of construction, machinery, electrical and transport engineering.
§ 5.
The Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Political and Economic Sciences in Prague is incorporated on 1 September 1953 into the Faculty of Philosophy and History of Charles University in Prague.
§ 6.
(1) The Faculty of Political and Economic Sciences in Prague is established on 1 September 1952.
§ 7.
(1) From the current economic faculty of the University of Political and Economic Sciences in Prague, the University of Economics in Prague is established on 1 September 1953.
(2) This university is divided into faculties of general economic, manufacturing, internal trade, finance and credit and the Faculty of Statistics.
§ 8.
(1) The University of Economic Sciences in Bratislava is converted into an Economic University in Bratislava on 1 September 1953.
(2) The head of this university is the Rector and the Board of Higher Education.
§ 9.
From the present Faculty of Science Charles University in Prague, the Faculty of Mathematics and Physical and the Faculty of Biological are established on 1 September 1952.
§ 10.
The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences is established on 1 September 1952 at Masaryk University in Brno and at the Slovak University in Bratislava.
§ 11.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication; They shall be carried out by the Minister for Education, Science and Art in agreement with the participating members of the Government.
