on the expiry of banknotes of CZK 100 in model 1995 and model 1997, banknotes of CZK 200 in model 1996 and model 1998, banknotes of CZK 500 in model 1995 and model 1997, banknotes of CZK 1 000 in model 1996 and banknotes of CZK 2 000 in model 1996 and model 1999
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 paragraph 1 (b) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 89 / 2018 Coll.:
Termination of banknotes
On 30 June 2022, banknotes of model 19951, banknotes of model 19972), banknotes of model 19963), banknotes of model 19984), banknotes of model 19955), banknotes of model 19976), banknotes of model 19967), banknotes of model 19968) and banknotes of model 19999).
Exchange of banknotes
Banknotes whose validity has been terminated shall be exchanged between 1 July 2022 and 30 June 2024 by all credit institutions performing cash operations (10) and the Czech National Bank and from 1 July 2024 only by the Czech National Bank, under the conditions laid down by the Act on the circulation of banknotes and coins.
Efficacy
This Decree shall take effect on 1 January 2022.
