DECLARATION
of 19 December 2023
on the establishment of protection zones for the natural health source of the pelloid of the Grünwald meadow and the definition of specific protective measures
According to § 46 (3) (b) of Act No. 164 / 2001 Coll., on Natural Medical Resources, Natural Mineral Water Resources, Natural Spa and Spa Points and on the amendment of certain related laws (Spa Act), for the implementation of § 21 (1) and (3), § 22 (5), § 23 (3) and § 24 (2) and (3) of the Act:
Establishment of protection zones
(1) In order to protect the natural medical source of the peloid bearing Grünwald meadow (the source), Teplice district, the cadastral territory of the New Town near Mikulov, protection zones I and II shall be established.
(2) The definition of protection zones I and II is graphically indicated in a copy of the cadastral map, as set out in Annex 1 to this Decree. The definition of protection zones I. and II. is graphically marked in the base map of the Czech Republic, which is listed in Annex 2 to this decree.
Definition of specific safeguard measures
(1) Only activities necessary for the protection and use of the source may be carried out in Level I protection zone. No unauthorised entry shall be allowed in the territory of the Class I protection zone.
(2) Level II protection zone is prohibited
(a) carry out work for the drainage and treatment of watercourses likely to endanger the natural groundwater regime, with the exception of the routine management of the water flow and the land under water flow management;
(b) apply chemical plant protection products for which the impact on the quality of groundwater or resources cannot be clearly excluded;
(c) discharge waste water and defective substances which may endanger the quality of surface or groundwater, into surface or groundwater waters and into the water flow flowing through the bearing, including their application to the surface of the terrain;
(d) to export the contents of immediate pit, urine and manure of livestock to land;
(e) build or operate waste landfills and store, process or collect waste (1);
(f) place field fertilizers and silage storage facilities;
(g) to build or operate objects for agricultural production, industrial production objects and other objects in which it is a significant component of the technology of handling harmful substances which may compromise the quality of surface or groundwater;
(h) to operate in the woods of special destination in such a way that the natural groundwater regime could be adversely affected.
Efficacy
This Decree shall take effect on 1 January 2024.
