DECLARATION
Federal Ministry of Finance
of 4 March 1981
on the issue of commemorative silver hundred crowns for the 100th anniversary of the birth of Otakar Španiel
The Federal Ministry of Finance declares pursuant to § 3 (2) of Act No. 41 / 1953 Coll., on monetary reform, and pursuant to § 2 (2) of Government Decree No. 35 / 1954 Coll., on commemorative coins:
(1) On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Czech sculptor and medalist Otakar Španiel, a commemorative silver hundred crowns are issued.
(2) The silver stockings are driven by an alloy of 500 pieces of silver, 400 parts of copper, 50 parts of nickel and 50 parts of zinc. The weight of the hundred koruna is 9 g. In the case of stamping, a tolerance up and down of 10 / 1000 and a silver content of 5 / 1000 is permitted. The diameter is 29 mm, the edge is serrated.
(1) On the face of the commemorative silver stokron is the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and under it in two rows is the designation of the value "100 KKS." On the sides of the number "100," there are lime branches. In the copy to the circle from the left is the name of the State "CZECH SOCIAL REPUBLIC."
(2) On the back of the commemorative silver stokron is a portrait of O. Spaniel in the left profile. On the right under the portrait is facsimile of his signature "O. Španiel," in the middle under the portrait are the years "1881-1981." The author of the coin design is the deserving artist Milan Knobloch, whose brand "MK" is placed below the years.
This Decree shall take effect on 30 June 1981.
