DECLARATION
of 16 November 2016
on the issue of commemorative silver two hundred crowns for the 450th anniversary of the birth of Jan Jessenia
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll.:
(1) On 14 December 2016, the 450th anniversary of the birth of Jan Jessenia is issued with a commemorative silver coin of CZK 200 (hereinafter referred to as "two hundred crowns").
(2) Two hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version with polished field of coin and matte relief (hereinafter "special version").
(3) The two-hundred korona in normal and special design is rolled from an alloy containing 925 parts of silver and 75 parts of copper. The weight of two hundred crowns is 13 g, its diameter is 31 mm and its strength is 2,35 mm. In the case of an embossing of two hundred crowns in normal and special design, the tolerance shall be 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,15 mm in thickness. In mass, the tolerance shall be up to 0,26 g and in the silver content shall be up to 1%. The edge of two hundred crowns in normal design is serrated, the edge of two hundred crowns in special design is smooth with the feature "CZECH NATIONAL BANKA * Ag 0.925 * 13 g *."
(1) On the front side of the two hundred crown, the left side of the coin field shows a diagram of half of the human body symbolizing the autopsy. The scheme goes into a sword that symbolically expresses Jessenius' death. At the upper edge of the two-hundred crown, the name of the state "CZECH REPUBLIC" is in two rows, under which the title sheet of the 1601 autopsy report is displayed. At the lower left edge the denomination of the coin is "200" and under it the abbreviation of the money unit "CZK." The Czech Mint brand consisting of the composition of the letters "No" and "M" is placed under the name of the money unit.
(2) On the reverse side of the two hundred crown is a portrait of John Jessenio. At the left edge of the two-hundred crown, the years are "1566" and "2016" separated by a dot. The initials of the author of the coin, the academic sculptor Zbynek Fojt, are followed by composing the letters "F" and "Z." The initials are bounded by a dot on both sides. At the right edge of the two hundred crown is the text "JAN JESSENIUS."
(3) The picture of the two hundred crown is given in the annex to this decree.
This Decision shall enter into force on 14 December 2016.
