Government Regulation
of 10 April 1951
about honours associated with honorary degrees in physical education and sports.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic orders, with the consent of the President of the Republic, pursuant to § 7 of Act No. 247 / 1949 Coll., on Honours and Honours, and under § 7 of Act No. 187 / 1949 Coll., on State Care for Physical Education and Sport:
(1) A deserving worker in physical education and sport, a master of sport and a deserving master of sport will receive a badge and deed of having been awarded an honorary degree (diploma).
(2) The badges are described in the Annex to this Regulation.
An honorary gift or salary may be granted to a deserving worker in physical education and sport; they are awarded by the President of the Republic on a proposal from the Government.
The State gives special care to masters of sport and well-deserved masters of sport, particularly by improving their conditions for growing sport; this care is carried out by the State Department of Physical Education and Sports.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication; they shall be carried out by a member of the Government responsible for governing the State Office for Physical Education and Sports.

A description of the badges.
I.
The badge of a deserving worker in physical education and sport has the shape of a round target with a diameter of 30 mm and is stamped on both sides. On the cheek is the relief of a worker in a work apron, pressing the hand of an athlete holding a battalion; around the relief is placed in the circle the inscription: "A deserving worker in physical education and sport." On the reverse is the depiction of a lion from a small state sign of the Czechoslovak Republic in a wreath of laurel and lime leaves.
The badge is embossed from silver, patinated; worn on a hanging buckle in the shape of a rectangle 22 mm wide and 15 mm long, covered with light blue ribbon.
II.
The badge of the sport master is shaped like a shield over which is placed a plastic five-pointed star. On the shield whose surface is curved is the relief of the winner holding the lip branch in his right hand and the battalion in his left hand. On the winner's chest are the letters "CSR." In the background of the shield is shown sports stadium and factory. In the lower half of the badge is the inscription "Master of Sport."
The badge is 36 mm high and 36 mm wide, is embossed from silver, patinated; worn on a light blue ribbon 22 mm wide and 15 mm long.
III.
The badge of a well-deserved sport master has the shape of a shield. The shield is the relief of a girl who stands at the podium of winners and holds the branch of victory over her head. The figure of the girl exceeds the upper edge of the shield. In the background of the deepened area of the shield is depicted the sports stadium and above it a mould with figures of soldier, peasant, mother and child and worker. On the elevated, sloping lower edge of the shield is the inscription: "Proper sport champion."
The badge is 42 mm high and 36 mm wide, is embossed from silver, patinated; worn on a light blue ribbon 22 mm wide and 20 mm long.
